South Carolina Festival of Flowers in Greenwood, South Carolina

This huge festival in Greenwood County is gearing up for the 43rd year and runs almost the entire month of June. The South Carolina Festival of Flowers draws local and professional flower enthusiasts from all over the United States. Some of the events during the festival include garden tours, visits to private homes, and music. There are also wine tastings, sports competitions, art contests, and photography exhibits. This is one of the few South Carolina festivals that actually has something for everyone.

Fall Tour of Homes and Gardens in Charleston, South Carolina

While there are different tours in Charleston, this is one of the most popular tours in the area. The Fall Tour of Homes and Gardens is a yearly event sponsored by the Preservation Society of Charleston. The tours take place over several weeks starting September 23 and ending October 24, 2010. Visitors who sign up for the event get to see famous areas of Charleston including old churches as well as private homes and gardens. Guests are given personal tours down streets such as Meeting Street, Rutledge Avenue, and Broad Street. Fall Festival of Houses and Gardens in Beaufort, South Carolina

This coastal festival in Beaufort, South Carolina, has a variety of places to see including South Carolina plantations, homes, and gardens. The Fall Festival of Houses and Gardens also lets the public see different examples of architecture as it relates to Charleston’s history. Guests can sign up for a guided walk during the daytime or a unique candlelight tour. This event is set to run from October 22 until October 24.

Holiday Harvest at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Visitors who attend this autumn festival in Myrtle Beach certainly get a taste of fall. The event is held from October 21 through October 24 and then again from October 28 through October 31, 2010. Attractions at the Holiday Harvest include a pumpkin maze, hayride, and a farmers market with produce out of local gardens. Individuals can also view 4-H demonstrations, purchase homemade fudge, and taste wine from area vineyards.
