Orlando can become extremely hot and humid during the summer. A pool day is always a great idea. Some friends called us on a hot Sunday morning to ask if we wanted to spend the day with them at the pool. They had called the Ritz Carlton and made a reservation to rent a cabana for the day.
Without hesitation, we packed our swimsuits and head out to the Ritz Carlton. We probably packed too fast because I forgot my swim shorts. Too bad when you are planning a pool day.
The resort was beautiful as you can imagine. Everyone who has a reservation can go to the resort for the day. You can rent a cabana as we did. It is nice and quiet. It was a very relaxing Sunday. We got to enjoy the beautiful pool. It felt like a little gateway but we were still in Orlando.
The cabana is located in the spa area. There were no kids in this part of the hotel; it is an adult pool only. It is not in the main pool area of the hotel.
The cabana was comfortable, and our server was the nicest. She was making sure we were doing good, and we had everything we needed.
Renting the cabana was a little pricy but since we were two couples we were able to split the cost. There are different cabanas available for you to rent out. The one we had was very spacious; we had 2 lounge chairs, a sofa, and a fridge full of fresh water and sodas.
We tried different salads and a wrap. We had the ahi tuna salad with goat cheese and cherry tomatoes; it was wonderful. The ahi was perfectly cooked, Kevin had the turkey wrap which was great as well. Our friends tried the chicken caesar salad and the crab salad. The spa pool menu is limited, but you can order food from the inside restaurant as well which offers you more choices. We also had a delicious Pina Colada.
We had such a great time. I never thought about staying at a hotel just for the day and enjoy the pool. It was actually a great idea, and we will definitely do more Daycation in the resorts around town. There are a lot of hotels in Orlando, so we have a lot of places to try.
