Walt Disney offers military personnel and their families discounted tickets so they can enjoy family fun together. Disney Military discounts are available to active and retired personnel. This includes members of the Coast Guard, National Guard, and all Reservists. Should the enlisted personnel not be in a position to buy Disney tickets, their spouses are allowed to buy them.
At Disney World Resort a military member can purchase a four-day park hopper pass for $138 per ticket. They can purchase a four-day Water Parks Fun and More ticket for $138 a ticket. Should the family wish to hop parks and enjoy the water parks then tickets can be purchased for $165 a ticket. If four days is too long then Disney offers a three-day hopper pass for $99 for each ticket. Some multi-day passes carry an average of 10% discount when they are bought. A regular-priced four-day hopper pass costs $232 a ticket. The military discount can save families up to 60% per ticket.
Like most offers, there are some restrictions that need to be noted. Military personnel can purchase up to six tickets at a time. The tickets cannot be traded for other tickets. All tickets have to be used by October 1, 2011. Military personnel should also pay attention to any potential blackout dates that apply to the purchases.
Once all the tickets are in hand it is time to let the fun begin. Memories are built around family experiences that they share together. Disney locations are the best places to make this happen. For the military family that has been gone a long time, it is the perfect opportunity to connect with family and put the separation time behind them.
For military personnel that is seeking to obtain tickets, they should check with the Morale Welfare and Recreation office to see if they qualify or not. Once they qualify the tickets must be bought in advance of the trip. Online websites also offer opportunities to purchase military discounted tickets. The tickets can also be found at each Disney location at the ticket booth.
