Free Admission at all National Parks Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend Jan. 14 – 16

You don’t have to pay to enjoy nature this upcoming weekend, as 100 of the 396 National Parks that charge admission are free to all, in part to celebrate the national holiday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The fee waiver January 14 to January 16, 2012 includes entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees but not camping reservations or fees to third parties.

These are the first fee-free days in 2012. Mark your calendar for other national park fee-free days in 2012:
