Thanks to the annual Smithsonian Museum Day Live!, Free Fun Guides has something to look forward to every last Saturday in September! But it also means museum lovers have to make some tough choices — which of the hundreds of participating  museums to see for FREE!

Smithsonian Museum Day Live!

Smithsonian Magazine created Museum Day Live! as a way to share the spirit of the Smithsonian museums, which offer free admission every day. Through the magazine’s sponsorship, hundreds of museums across the U.S. are opening their doors for free to anyone who shows a Museum Day Live!  ticket. It’s easy to get the Museum Day ticket, which admits two people to one participating museum. First Sign Up Here for the free ticket. The ticket is emailed to you and then you print it out.

A pretty simple way of getting into a top rated museum for FREE!

Visit the Newseum in Washington D.C. for Free Sept 10th and 11th

Come visit the the Newseum in Washington D.C. this weekend for free. The Newseum is located adjacent to the Smithsonian Museum and contains over 500 years of news history in a huge 250,000 square foot building. In addition to the news history be sure to appreciate the amazing  architecture, including a 74-foot high marble engraving of the First Amendment.  The Newseum is open from 9AM to 5PM and normally costs $21.95 plus tax per ticket, so be sure to take advantage of this great opportunity!
